Skyrez's fee: how the 2% works

Skyrez charges 2% only on online payments you receive through your widgets. Here is when it applies and how it is charged.

Skyrez charges a 2% fee on online payments your customers make in your widgets. There's no fee on bookings that aren't paid online.

When the 2% applies

The 2% applies to:

  1. Card payments in the widget (Stripe): deducted automatically.
  2. PayPal payments in the Tours widget: invoiced afterwards.

No fee on:

  1. Widget bookings without online payment.
  2. Bookings you enter yourself in the dashboard with New booking.
  3. Credit bookings from your business partners.

With Stripe: deducted automatically

When your customer pays by card, the charge is made on your own Stripe account and Stripe sets aside the 2% for Skyrez at that moment. You receive the rest.

Stripe also charges its own card processing fee. Stripe takes that fee directly from your account, and it depends on your country and the type of card; you can check it in your Stripe dashboard.

Example

A customer books a $100 USD tour and pays by card:

  1. Skyrez: $2 USD (2%).
  2. Stripe: its processing fee.
  3. You: $98 USD minus Stripe's fee, in your Stripe balance.

With PayPal: invoiced afterwards

A PayPal payment arrives in full in your PayPal account, because Skyrez isn't part of the transaction. That's why the 2% can't be deducted at that moment: we keep a record of those payments and invoice you the fee afterwards.

What about the monthly plan?

The fee is separate from each module's plan. Plans depend on the number of bookings per month; see Pricing.
